SETIO’s Teen Outreach Recovery Mission

Teens do not have the money to support a cause but they do have the time!!

Our STORM encourages teens to learn the importance of voluntarism by getting their hands dirty.  They learn by doing.

It is a volunteer program designed for teens 13-18 yrs old to participate in the final phase of the reconstruction program.  The participants work side by side with our volunteer builders.  As, the builders focus on the interior of the home, the teens will focus on the exterior cosmetic rehabilitation. This includes painting and landscaping.

STORM was design with teens in mind. It’s a way for them to give of their time, and make a statement with the work they do.  The teens in the program learn the value of service.  They gain a unique understanding of what it is to care, to respect, and to love   your fellow man.  This opportunity gives them an acute awareness of the needs of those less fortunate, and encourages a sense of personal responsibility while their work contributes to long term recovery following a disaster.
