Effective August 31, 2010 we ended our Ike recovery programs. Our area received Community Development Block Grants for housing restoration and contractors are expected to begin work in early September. Survivors may still file applications for assistance with the Southeast Texas Regional Planning Commission. Applications can be found at http://www.setrpc.org. We continue to assist hurricane survivors through our participation in the Recovery for Ike Survivors Enterprise (RISE). Presently 11 case managers are assisting more than 500 clients. RISE stopped accepting applications effective July 31, 2010.
